The 2025 Coachella lineup has caused a good amount of commotion here on the Hill. This year the three main performers will be Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. These headliners, who seem to be aimed at a more mature audience, have surprised many young music enthusiasts. By comparison, last year’s headliners were Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat and Tyler, The Creator, all of whom attracted a youthful audience.
“Honestly I think they could’ve chosen more recent popular artists that the younger crowd listens to more, like SZA or like Bryson Tiller,” Anaiis Calderon ‘25 said.
Since Coachella and Stagecoach typically take place at the same time of year, most Tologs only get to attend one or the other because of the high expense and possibility of missing too much school. It seems that the Coachella lineup this year has made this decision somewhat easy for FSHA students.
“I picked to go to Stagecoach because Coachella has too much of a variety of artists,” Chelsea Thomas ‘25 said.
When shown the lineup this year, some Tologs didn’t even recognize the headliners.
“I feel like Coachella should be more for younger people. Like seriously, who even is Green Day?” Mari Owen ‘25 said.
