Juniors Blu Mackey, Jordyn Hart, Kathryn Lytle, Martyna Malolepszy, Maddie Leroy and Jaden Jones join forces to voice their support for the environment.

Students stood in solidarity on Friday, Sept. 20 with climate protesters in 150 countries around the world. The strikes were designed to get the United Nations to pay attention to climate change.

Students gathered outside during the protest, which took place before morning break, and were urged to hug a friend, hug a tree and admire nature. At the same time, the school took part in a blackout. The school turned off all electricity, and the construction crews across the parking lot at the theater stopped work as well.
